48 people attended our Dinner Dance and overnight stay on Friday, February 22, 2008 at the Rob Roy Motel, Aberfoyle. After a good meal, very efficiently served; we had a great night dancing to the Dumgoyne Scottish Country Dance Band. The event followed several days of heavy rain. We woke [for the 2nd time - the fire alarm went off at 5.00am] to more rain and high winds. The idea of a high level walk was abandoned, and even the wet weather alternative was considered to be too boggy to be enjoyable. Only 8 people remained for a casual walk to Gartmore to burn off the hearty breakfast.
