On Wednesday 17th March 2010, more than 700 children gathered again to take part in the fifth Festival of Scottish Country Dancing, representing 33 schools in the city. The atmosphere was bubbling with excitement. Master of Ceremony, Les Lambert introduced the Lord Provost of Glasgow, Bob Winter who welcomed everyone. The Service Director [Education], Maureen McKenna also gave kind words of encouragement. Alex Gray, chairman of the RSCDS spoke of how his love of dancing had taken him round the world.   John Renton and his Scottish Country Dance Band again provided wonderful music.
