Glasgow Branch members were very saddened to learn of Nan's death on 28th November 2014.
Nan was truly dedicated to Scottish Country Dancing as a teacher and as a dancer. Despite a busy working life and family commitments she regularly maintained a high level of involvement in dancing not only at branch level but also in supporting her husband George in the roles he held at Headquarters. In 1998 they were jointly awarded the Society Scroll of Honour. Together with Jennifer they were regulars at St. Andrews Summer School. As Honorary President of the Glasgow Branch Nan was fully committed to local activities, always showing support despite failing health in later years.
A further appreciation of Nan will appear in the Spring Branch Newsletter 2015.
