RSCDS Glasgow Musician’s Workshop 2025

Glasgow Branch held its first Musicians’ Workshop run by Ian Muir on the afternoon of Sunday 14 September. The musicians consisted of 12 fiddlers, a cellist, a guitarist, a flautist, 4 accordionists, a snare drummer and a pianist. 
Towards the end of the afternoon, the helpers danced two dances, 'White Heather Jig' and 'MacDonald of the Isles' to some of the music that Ian Muir had chosen and the musicians had practised.  This hadn’t been planned but it went down very well with the musicians and dancers alike. The workshop was a resounding success. Everyone learnt a lot - musicians and dancers alike!
