Dance Around the World Event

Dancing Through the Snow – with Dance Around the World! Despite snow, icy paths and windy weather the Glasgow Branch gathered for another joyful evening, joining dancers worldwide to celebrate one year since the Society’s centenary! A huge thank you to everyone for braving the weather and filling the dance floor with warmth, energy, and a touch of extra flair (and maybe a few extra layers)!
Our Nice 'n Easy Dance was a wonderful gathering of friends old and new, all brought to life by the fantastic music of the talented Màrtainn Skene Dance Band! The lively tunes had the room dancing with good cheer from start to finish. We were especially thrilled to see new dancers taking to the floor! It was such a joy to share the fun with you, and we hope to see you back on the dance floor soon.
A huge round of applause to Margaret Sanders and the social events sub-committee. A big shoutout to Debbie McAlees and Eilidh Hart, our wonderful MCs, who kept everything running smoothly. And of course, thanks to Anne Murray and the "refreshments" squad for keeping us well-fuelled. The evening wouldn’t have been the same without all the dancers! Thank you for making it such a joyful evening — a delightful escape from the weather outside.
Here’s to more dancing, music, and laughter!
