Moments from RSCDS Glasgow--Glasgow Life Initiative Class at Barlanark
On 19 November the class enjoyed a delightful wee party afternoon filled with dancing, laughter, and fun. The event brought together the class attendees and some of our wonderful branch volunteers, who joined in to celebrate the joy of Scottish Country Dancing. Huge thanks to Lyndsey for sharing some wonderful snapshots from the day – it’s always a treat to see so many happy faces in some dance action!
This celebration ties in beautifully with an ongoing initiative in collaboration with Glasgow Life to promote Scottish Country Dancing as a way to support physical and mental health. A special thank you to Sebastian Wanless, Linda Williamson, and the many volunteer helpers who make all of this possible – your dedication and enthusiasm keep our dancing community thriving. We were delighted to have William Williamson, the former Society Chair, join us for the afternoon. Also spotted here are Anne Robertson, our teacher, and the brilliant Màrtainn Skene, who kept everyone on their "dancing" toes with his fantastic tunes. It’s amazing to see how SCD brings people together and makes such a difference
