Kelvingrove Museum

A different Outreach event was held on Friday 16th June. Branch volunteers appeared at Kelving
rove Museum and Art Gallery at the request of Dr James Hunter, the Musical Director of the museum. He chose to play Scottish themed music on the fantastic organ with displays from Glasgow dancers during his programme. The 16 dancers were accompanied by Màrtainn Skene on the accordion. The audience feedback indicated enjoyment, with the dancing an extra bonus to the organ recital. The marble floor was trickier to dance on, but the grand building and atmosphere made it a very memorable experience for us all.
My thanks to Màrtainn and all the dancers who gave up their time to rehearse and display their skills.
